meet the doctors
Dr. Clay Goins is a native of Chattanooga. He received a presidential academic scholarship to attend Murray State University, where he also played soccer for the Racers. After graduating from MSU with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry, he attended dental school at the University of Tennessee. He earned his doctorate of dental surgery degree and graduated with high honors in 2003. While in dental school, he served as the president of the Richard Dogget Dean Honor Society. Dr. Clay then chose to complete his pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Kentucky and Kosair Children’s Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.
In order to stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of pediatric dentistry, Dr. Clay maintains active memberships in numerous professional organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society.
Dr. Clay is a board certified, Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He was voted the “Best of the Best” dentist and pediatric dentist by Chattanoogans for the last three years.
Dr. Clay and his wife, Kelly met in middle school. They enjoy watching college athletics and are fans of both the University of Tennessee and the University of Kentucky. Dr. Clay and Kelly have three children. Their oldest son is the big brother, Lukas. They also have fraternal twins, Hudson and Hadley. Dr. Clay enjoys spending time with his family, playing and coaching soccer, volunteering on mission trips around the world, hiking, skiing, and teaching Sunday school. He is currently working on a degree from Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.
Dr. Dean Walker is a Pediatric Dentist from San Luis Obispo CA. He loves being a Pediatric Dentist and feels blessed to have joined Dr. Clay and team.
Dr. Walker received his Doctorate in 1997 from Loma Linda University. He then completed an additional two year residency program, while receiving a Master’s in Pediatric Dentistry. During this time he earned several accommodations, including the prestigious Dentistry for Children award.
Dr. Walker, his wife Tiffany and children T.J. and Kara love being here. You might see them around playing baseball, basketball or simply “hanging out”. If you do, make sure and say hi.
